Tamara Zwinak Successfully Establishes a Green Base in Western North Carolina

  Election results are in for the US House of Representatives District 11.  This is a victory for the Green movement in WNC.  We now have a solid base of 5,417 voters across 17 counties in the region.  Our goal for 2022 is to enlarge this base. We want to build a big tent that includes non-socialist.  The bottom line is to attract voters who agree on the UN Sustainability Goals.  I am very pleased with the results.  My goal was to run a no money, low impact campaign.  Greens have shown that we don't need big money to run.  We produced no campaign waste.  This is a first, probably in the nation, in terms of meeting these goals.  Also, given the fact I received no endorsements, together this campaign demonstrated that these votes came from voters who support the Green movement.  This is exciting in a region that is solidly Republican.  I believe if we build a coalition with Democrats, we could win a seat in Congress before ...

US House Candidate Tamara Zwinak Outlines Her Policy Positions and Priorities

Tamara Zwinak, Green candidate for U.S. House of Representatives outlines her position on a multitude of issues prioritized by her campaign.  Pandemic Response I believe the political climate in Washington has set the stage for the pandemic crisis.  The coronavirus pandemic has killed over 180,000 Americans of which nearly 50% are seniors and Black and Brown people.  Of those who have recovered, thousands still suffer from lingering symptoms that may leave them permanently disabled.  Over 35 million people are unemployed, millions more are discouraged workers and only half of the unemployed receive unemployment insurance.  My immediate plan for managing the pandemic includes Social Distancing, Mask Mandates, Rapid Testing with Immediate Results, a Safe and Effective vaccine available to all; production of PPE, medications and vaccines in the US; and testing of waste water.
